Some folks just have a knack for making you feel good.
David Milgram, seasoned musician and chiropractor extraordinaire, is one of these people. He grew up in New York, picking up his first guitar at the age of 13 and began writing lyrics for songs.

Flash forward to age 17, Milgram began attending Ricker College in Houlton, Maine about a mile from the Canadian border. “ I did a radio show on our college FM station and would intersperse my live blues songs with the old time greats like Robert. Johnson, Leadbelly and Big Bill Broonzy .One day the station manager handed me a letter from Woodstock, Canada (about 15 miles away. They asked if I was Big Bill and would I come out to their grange to do a concert. So, I played my first concert next to a woodstove in Woodstock.”

“I hitchhiked across the country a few times and always played harmonica while waiting for rides. Some people drove me more miles down the road as long as I kept playing and others let me out early.”

Flash-forward again, now a full-fledged chiropractor after going to Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota, Milgram moved to his current home near Flagstaff, Arizona. Drawing inspiration from influences as diverse as Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Joni Mitchell, he begins seriously writing songs resulting in his 1999 debut Out Of Nowhere.

The late great Hopi Grandfather David Monongye told the young doctor in the 80's that a real medicine man writes his own songs. Through his original lyrics and music, David Milgram's songs wake you up through a déjà vu like resonance. His tones ring true and strike chords in the soul and open hearts to the healing energy and spiritual knowledge that lives within.

In 2002, David released Just Before The Helpers Come, which he co-produced with Tim Jessup of Sound Design in Sedona, Arizona. Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler On The Roof) said this about the Helpers CD; “…with the songs running the gamut from tender to adventurous to exhilarating, this CD is a particularly satisfying experience.”

Now in 2009, David is releasing Live From The Heart. His harmonica and acoustic guitar are complemented by the extraordinary electric guitar of Stanley Jordan who said that David's music and singing is “very egoless and Mozart -like”. Like a voice from the wilderness, David Milgram's messages of love and peace span the generations in his robust yet tender songs.
